Sphinx Stars: Detroit is Sphinx's newest program and highlights the musical talents of young performers in Metro Detroit. Musicians compete for a $10,000 grand prize, other cash prizes and performance opportunities. It is open to young musicians (voice, piano, strings, winds, brass and percussion) living in Oakland, Wayne and Macomb counties who are 18 or younger and have not yet graduated from high school.  The competition will be recorded live on May 22nd, 2013 and will be broadcast via our media partner WADL.  Sphinx is proud to have the Ford Motor Company Fund as the Lead Corporate Sponsor of the inaugural Sphinx Stars: Detroit competition!
