Sphinx Performance Academy (SPA)

What is the SPA?

  • A full scholarship intensive two week chamber music and solo performance summer program 
  • Students participate in private lessons, coachings, masterclasses and performances

Who is Eligible?

  • Students ages 12-17
  • Instrument category: Violin, Viola & Cello
  • Participation is limited to current U.S. residents who are Black or Latino.

Where does the SPA take place?

Sphinx Performance Academy takes place at Oberlin Conservatory in Oberlin, Ohio and at The Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University

When is the SPA?

Sphinx Performance Academy takes place for two weeks in the summer.

When are applications due?

Applications are due in early Spring.  Check the SphinxSPA.MyReviewRoom.com site for the exact date.  Late applications are not accepted.
