Terry L. Woodard is a Managing Director and Vice Chairman in J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank. Terry along with his team of financial and service specialists are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day banking, investment, tax and financial planning needs of individuals and non-profit organizations. Terry is a member of the Morgan Circle -the top 5 percent of advisors in the Private Bank.

Terry joined Chase Manhattan Bank after graduating with a BA in Finance from Morehouse College. Terry started his career in General Auditing and subsequently attended the Bank’s Credit Training Program. Since then, he has held positions in Risk Management, Credit Underwriting, and Client Management.

Beyond his considerable business success, Terry’s leadership in diversity and inclusion has had a major impact. Currently, Terry is the Global Co-Chair of BOLD (Black Organization for Leadership and Development), Co-Founder and former Co-Chair of the Asset Management Black Leadership Forum and a member of the Executive Leadership Council (ELC). He is the proud JPMorgan Chase Ambassador to Morehouse College and formerly captained the Morehouse College Recruiting Team.

Outside of the business world, Terry pairs his dedication to the community and love of music. Terry is a board member of the United Negro College Fund. He is the Chairman of the Board of Jazz House Kids, Chairman of the Board of the Sphinx Organization, and a former board member of the Girls Scouts in Essex, Hudson, and Union Counties of New Jersey.

Terry has been honored by the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) of New York. He is the recipient of the Harlem YMCA Black Achievers in Industry Award, The Dreamer Award from the Morehouse Manhattan Alumni Chapter, the Alumnus of the Year Award from the Morehouse College National Alumni Association, and a Bennie Award; one of the most prestigious honors that Morehouse bestows on successful alumni. In 2022, Terry was recognized by Crain’s New York as a Notable Diverse Leader in Banking and Finance.
