Victoria Robey CBE Hon RCM was educated in the US at Phillips Academy Andover and gained a BA at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. She began her professional career in Mergers and Acquisitions, Capital Markets and Corporate Finance at Goldman Sachs (New York and London), subsequently joining Executive Search firm Russell Reynolds Associates. Following postgraduate studies in 18th Century British art at the Courtauld Institute in London, Victoria worked at the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art collaborating on several books with the late art historian John Ingamells. She was a Trustee of the Foundling Museum, a member of the (London) Mayor’s Music Education Steering Committee and a Council Member of the Royal College of Music (2007–17) where she was awarded an Honorary Membership of the conservatoire. Since 2012, Victoria has been the first non-player Chairman of the Board of the London Philharmonic Orchestra. She is Founder Director on the board of Music Masters https://musicmasters.org.uk/ (recently rebranded from London Music Masters, which she co-founded with Professor Itzhak Rashkovsky in 2007) and serves on the board of the Royal Philharmonic Society. Victoria was awarded an OBE for services to music in June 2014. She and her husband, Simon, live in England with their two Wheaten terriers, Mabel and Monkey.
