Arthur Barbosa
Brazilian Composer, born in March 16, 1965.
Born in Fortaleza, Arthur Barbosa is a composer, conductor and violinist. He studied violin with Alberto Jaffé, Rafael Garcia, and Yerko Tabilo. In 1999, he started to study conducting.
Barbosa has played in the section and as a concertmaster in major professional orchestras in Latin America, such as the Orquestra Sinfônica da Paraíba (Brazil) and the Orquesta Filarmónica de Santiago (Chile). He has also conducted orchestras in Brazil, the United States and Europe, and he is now the artistic director and conductor of the Orquestra Eleazar de Carvalho, and conductor or the youth orchestra from the Orquestra Sinfônica de Porto Alegre music school (Ospa Jovem).
