Pablo Cristian Cetta

Argentinian composer, born January 21, 1960.


Born on January 21, 1960, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Pablo Cristian Cetta studied composition with Gerardo Fandini, graduating from the Escuela de Musica of the Universidad Católica Argentina. Cetta also studied engineering at the Universidad Nacional de Tecnología. Professionally, Cetta has worked as an associate composer-researcher at the Laboratorio de Investigación y Producción Musical, as the director of the Centro de Estudios Electroacústicos, in Buenos Aires, and as the director of the Institute for Musicological Research "Carlos Vega.” A pioneer of utilizing computer resources for musical composition, Cetta has written several essays and books on music and has built his own software applications and patches for various multimedia environments. He has also been a professor of music at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, at the Conservatorio Nacional de Música Carlos López Buchardo, and at the Universidad Católica Argentina.
