Pedro Amorim
Brazilian composer, born July 20, 1958.
Pedro Amorim is a performer and composer born in Rio de Janeiro. His main instrument is the bandolim, which he started studying in 1978. Amorim also plays cavaquinho, tenor-guitar, banjo, and guitar, and he has performed all around the world. In 1993, he was the soloist for a performance of Radamés Gnattali’s Suite Retratos with the National Symphonic Orchestra. He also recorded and played with Brazilian artists such as Chico Buarque, Maria Bethânia and Caetano Veloso.
