Lígia Pucci is a Brazilian educator, conductor, and pianist whose work spans musical theater, choral, chamber and contemporary music.They currently serve as an instructor at Northeastern Illinois University and as associate artistic director at Windy City Performing Arts. Known for their collaborative approach and dedication to excellent performance in new music, Lígia has served as a music director for organizations such as the Florida Repertory Theatre, Das Blümelein Project in Dallas, Thompson Street Opera Company in Chicago.
When not immersed in teaching, rehearsals, or performances, Lígia can often be found discovering new corners of Chicago, exploring the city’s vibrant queer art scene, spending quality time with loved ones, and walking along Lake Michigan — seeking out moments that fuel their creative energy and passion for community-building.
