Program Manager | The Nashville Symphony
Phillip Ducreay is currently a Program Manager at The Nashville Symphony where he manages the symphony’s Pathways program, Accelerando. As a part of the Symphony’s Education and Community Engagment department, he helps to bring incredibly rich programming to the Nashville community. Leveraging his intimate knowledge of chamber music, he additionally manages/curates the symphony’s chamber music series. Phillip is also a regarded violinist, pedagogue, and musicologist.
Phillip holds a DMA in Violin Performance from the University of Maryland, an MM in Violin Performance from West Virginia University, an MA in Musicology from West Virginia University, and a BM from the Crane School of Music at Potsdam. His doctoral research focuses on new models for programming classical music. He has also published on topics in West African Music and Romantic Performance Practice.
He is originally from Schenectady, NY.
